Dog Crate End Table PLANS

Thank you for checking out my plans for a super-classy combination end table/dog kennel. I made mine mostly out of black walnut, but it would look just as good in any species you want. The construction is pretty simple - I used loose tenon joinery - but you can use whatever techniques you prefer.

I based the dimensions for this off a commercial kennel that is intended for 50-70 pound dogs.

Both of my dogs are 55 pound springer spaniels and based on how they fit, I would say the 50-70 pound size range is accurate here. There is plenty of room for them to stand up and turn around. If you have a bigger than 70-pound dog, you might want to increase the overall size a bit.

This kennel design utilizes custom-cut, decorative side panels that add to the look of the piece, while also allowing your critter to easily see out and not feel so confined. You are more than welcome to use any material or design that you wish, and the sizes are included in the plans. If you would like to follow my example exactly, I have these panels available as a package set here.
